The size of coal powder affects the mechanical properties of coal briquettes. Our studies show that the coal partical size and its distribution affect the mechanical strength of coal briquettes. To be more exact, the strength of coal briquettes decreases with an increase in partical size. The durability of coal briquettes is enhanced when fine coal powder is used for making briquettes.
The size and shape of resulting coal briquettes also affect the product strength. Our technical department did the studies by applying stress on pillow shaped briquettes and other shapes. The results showed that the pillow shaped coal briquettes are stronger than others.
