Fine coal waste generated in the processing plant of the coal-processing, was used to obtain briquettes using the coal briquette roller press. We studied raw material homogenization, the selection of suitable parameters for the coal briquette roller press, an analysis of briquettes quality,  strength and waterproof testing of briquettes, a study of the heat of combustion as well as ash and dust emissions were perfomed. Based on the results, the production process were developed for three types of coal-based fuel briquettes with additional components, such as starch, molasses and wood biomass.
