The difference between starch and molasses in bio-coal briquetting

Share with:

The making of bio-coal briquette which utilizes agricultural waste as an alternative energy to replace fossil fuels that are increasingly depleted its reserves. Concerns about the depletion and the high cost of fossil fuels, increasingly felt in recent years, is just the reason behind the innovation of making alternative fuels from biomass and coal.
The study discussed in this section uses coconut fiber biomass mixed with lignite(brown coal), and starch and molasses as binders. The main aspect being observed is combustion characteristics. The result is that bio-coal briquette given starch binders have higher combustion temperatures and lower pollution, compared to the bio-coal briquette given molasses binders.
